Advanced CCUS Engineering and Project Development Training Course

Oil and Gas

Advanced CCUS Engineering and Project Development Training Course is designed to equip participants with the technical expertise, strategic insights, and project management capabilities required to develop, optimize, and implement Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage (CCUS) projects.

Course Overview

Advanced CCUS Engineering and Project Development Training Course is designed to equip participants with the technical expertise, strategic insights, and project management capabilities required to develop, optimize, and implement Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage (CCUS) projects. This advanced training course explores the complete CCUS value chain, including carbon capture technologies, CO₂ separation and purification, compression, transportation infrastructure, geological storage, carbon utilization, reservoir characterization, and long-term storage integrity. Participants will gain practical knowledge of advanced carbon capture engineering, CO₂ injection modelling, subsurface storage assessment, carbon accounting, techno-economic analysis, and environmental risk management to support technically sound and commercially viable carbon management solutions.

The course also focuses on CCUS project development, carbon management strategy, project financing, regulatory compliance, carbon markets, and large-scale infrastructure deployment. Through engineering exercises, industry case studies, feasibility assessments, and project development simulations, participants will learn how to evaluate carbon capture opportunities, select appropriate technologies, assess storage capacity, manage operational risks, and develop bankable CCUS projects. The programme examines emerging innovations such as direct air capture integration, next-generation solvents, membrane separation, mineral carbonation, digital twins, artificial intelligence for subsurface monitoring, and integrated industrial carbon hubs. Participants will explore how to improve project economics, reduce lifecycle emissions, strengthen measurement, monitoring, reporting and verification (MMRV), and align CCUS investments with corporate sustainability targets and evolving climate policies. By the end of the training, participants will be better prepared to lead CCUS feasibility studies, front-end engineering design (FEED), carbon storage development, infrastructure planning, and investment-ready decarbonization projects across the global energy and industrial sectors.
